car stereo help (clio)?

In my clio i have volume controls on the steering wheel,
i was wondering if i was to get a new stereo can i still connect the steering wheel controls up to it, or will i have to get a certain stereo with the right connection?
 
oooh good question, i have been thinking of changing the cd player in my Clio and hadn't thought about how it would affect the volume controls on steering wheel!!

There are only some that will work as the adaptor you have to buy for the wiring will only be available for some. best to get advice at Halfords or another car audio specialist.
It is totally untrue to say that only factory fitted will work
