Car sound system problem?

I just bought a toyota celica 2001 and it came with a complete sound system, new speakers, stereo, amp, and subwoofer. I have a problem with it, when i turn on the car everything is OK, (except that the speakers dont work at the same time with the subwoofer) but when I start the engine, the speakers will continue playing music for two or three seconds and turn off.

I dont really know much about audio systems, i would really appreciated it if anyone could help me.

if one of the subs is bad it could be powering off your amp
i suggest turning the volume down enough so you dont blow your eardrums but leaving the bass up, and hooking up your subs one at a time to see if theres any crackling/screeching/etc
if that doesnt work turn to someone who knows what there doing, maybe a friend or someone you know, then if all else fails go for a professional.
 
Take it in to the shop and have a professional look at it, you might need another amp, or more power so both can work at the same time...
