Car runned on water(H2o)?

Is it possible to run a car on water? I know the process, you take water, you turn it into hydrogen with electrolysis(i thinks that how you spell it). The probrem I keep hearing is that it takes WAY to much energy to create hydrogen, it would go against the laws of physics. U cant possibly use your car battery to do the job. But what if you have like 3 or 4 car batteries, and a VERY efficient solar panel on the roof(solar panels are like 20 percent efficient i heard). Would a solar panel that is 50 efficient or more be enough to do the job? I know how to make solar panels more efficient. SHIT! you know what, i think im just gona build it and see what happens, lol
