My car needs a new catalytic converter or it needs repairs. I don't have the money but I had a few people that are auto mechanics tell me it's mainly for emissions. Well, I know it's dirty or something cause the airflow sucks. I also have a hole near the muffler on the exhaust pipe I believe it's called. I noticed white smoke coming from the muffler and I know that can be a sign of a head gasket or something mixing and leaking. I know to make sure the fluids are good especially the anti-freeze and it hasn't went down or over heated. My brother put way too much oil in it the other day and I am due for another oil change. I looked at the antifreeze and it does look a little foggy as if something is mixing in. Could the smoke problem be a gasket, the catalytic converter, the hole or the over flow of the oil? I know there are other signs when it's the head gasket but my car has been running fine. Thanks!
