I saw a commercial briefly yesterday that was advertising car insurance that covers repairs. It was just for repairs and you paid nothing to the shop. No car exam needed. NASCAR sponsors too, I believe. Anyone know what I'm talking about?? And if I have a bad rod in my engine, will that cover me getting a new engine?

you have to buy it before your engine blew up. these are mostly a scam. they have as much fine print as credit card rules. if you have a bad rod and the car is over 5 years old you're better off buying another car. unless you have a classic that's worth the expense. you should always have a car inspected by a mechanic before you hand over any money.

i saw the advertisments...hard to believe if i buy insurance for my 9 yr old truck with 130,000 miles they will buy me tranny/engine repair if it blows...
