well I have a question. I got a used 94 ford escort for $600. It has 350 some thousand miles on it. the transmision went out on it shortly after buying. I had it fixed for $800 and then got new struts put in because they were about to go also. It still needs work. It still needs the hose for the power stearing replaced and possibly the power stearing motor replaced, needs new wheel joints for the wheels, and the engine light goes off. the rest of the car is in very very good shape. same thing with the interior almost excellent. Would it be worth saving, or should i try to sell it. Most people get turned of with a car more than 200 thousand miles.

I hate to say this, but the Escort is a throw away car. Meaning, no matter how much money you put into it, you will never get your money out of it. As for is it worth saving, that is up to you. Do you like the car? How much are you willing to spend on it before you realize that you could be making car payments on a new car with all the money you are spending.
