Car Question re: "V6 Engine and Sports Exhaust"?

Are V6 engines heavy on petrol? Just for a casual driver, first car usage...
And I was wondering if the Sports Exhaust would make the car one of those annoying
noisy cars that always make the revving sound...It's an automatic if that helps.
