car question ... dodge viper?

I need an american car (besides corvette) that can run with a dodge viper, for a similar price (not ford gt or supercar aero). Thanks!
 
Well a stock factory car your not going to find anything other than the vette that will hang with the Viper ACR. There are plenty of aftermarket mustang producers rousch and saleen that'll put hp into it,but at that point its not really a car so much as a cheaply made race car.
 
Saleen S302 Extreme. It's a 'Stang, but it's very powerful. It'll run with a Viper easily.

The only major problem: it's quite a bit more expensive.

Viper SRT10: US$83,145
Saleen Sterling S302E: US$100,000.

You're better off with a Corvette ZR1.
