I had a small rust spot on my 2005 Scion XB and took steps to get rid of it. Everything looked fine (not perfect but pretty good for an amateur) until I put on the clear coat touch up paint. After using the touch up clear coat, the paint on the area looks chalky or hazy. Is there anything I can do about this short of re-sanding and re-painting? Will getting some polish do the trick?
I'm afraid that a small amount of moisture may have gotten in with the clearcoat.
Michael M,
How long should I wait before buffing with the rubbing compound / polish? Or can I just start it as soon as the clearcoat dries?
