Car of SUV easier to load infants/toddlers into?

I'll be buying a new car soon, and am on the fence about what to get. I prefer SUV's (bigger feels safer to me, even if it isn't true. I just feel more secure), but we already have one SUV that gets 18mpg city and 21mpg hwy. I'm concerned to own two SUV's however with the flucuating cost of gas (and we can't afford a hybrid). I'm considering cars.

I don't have kids yet, but I know I'll have whatever car I buy when I have kids. (We plan on trying in about a year to two years). It seems like it would be easier to load a newborn/infant/toddler into an SUV than into a car. From my perspective it seems that you would have to bend down while carrying the weight of the carrier/baby to put them in a car, but it seems like an SUV would be at the right height to avoid much of this stooping & bending.

Moms- in your experiences what do you think would have been or is easier on you when putting baby in a vehicle. A car or SUV?

get a car they ar much more safe than suvs they tend to be top heavy and roll over. Get a car withgood mileage good crash test rating and equiped with airbags i would reccomend a toyota camry its what my dad has 32 mpg very safe and drives well

It shouldnt matter, cars and suv's will have the same issues. just that suv's are higher.

but if you want a good car for kids. as much as im not a Volvo fan, the Volvo XC90 is basicaly made for your situation. any volvo. the backseat even raises to make a childseat.
