car light burning out?

i own a 2000 buick century and i started burning through one of my turn signal light bulbs in a matter of days. I pulled out the bulb to look at it and the plastic where the little wires go down was fried!!! i replaced the bulb but it happened a second time. Can anyone tell me why i am frying light bulbs so fast
