Hello I have a concern about my car that I hope some could help alleviate for me. I have recently noticed a smell of what seems to be burnt rubber coming from the front end of my car at the end of rides. A friend of mine that doesn't know much about cars says it smells like the car is burning oil but to me it smells like burning rubber. I would also like to add that I started noticing this smell right after another friend changed my front break pads. He told me it could be the breaks wearing themselves in but I don't think that would still be happening 3 weeks later. Could the changing of the breaks just be a coincidence or is it a possibility that he did something wrong that's leading to this smell. Does anyone have any advice or know what this could be ? (For the record the car is a 1999 Camry with roughly 165K miles)
