car help please help?

ok so my step dad and his friend said that ignition coil is sending the electricity to the distributor top but the distributor top is not send the electricity to the spark plugs and its a 1989 Chevy full size pick up truck plz help he really needs this truck for work
the coil is brand new nd brand new ignition coil nd brand new plugs nd wires nd still no spark
