Can somebody tell me what the common faults are on a.....
Ford Ka 1.3i ????

And what the common faults are on a peugot 206 ?????

And on a Nissan Micra ???? lol

Sorry about all the questions, im just confused out of which one of these cars to buy as my first car. I needed a cheapish to run little car.
Please help.... Thanks x
 
I don't know all there faults but from my long experience (if that counts) I'm 64 then (1) Ford is easiest to get parts.(2)Peugeot are reliable.(3) Nissan are mechanically the best but rust quicker than the others.I hope this helps .
 
Ford Ka...rust, clattery engines (not necessarily a deal breaker, they all do it to some extent) water leaks around the tailgate, broken switchgear and did I mention rust?

Pug 206, Dodgy electrics, worn & broken trim, & engine wear again.

Nissan Micra... can't think of anything specific. They just get a bit 'tired' with age like we all do. That's the one I'd buy if you want a reliable, easy to drive wee car.
 
The ka is crap. The whole thing rusts like no other car. Mechanically reliable but thats all that can be said.

Pug 206 is a nice little car. Fairly reliable, only common fault is the internal fan rheostat.

Micra is best of bunch but holds value very well. Has slight corrosion issues but not too bad at all.
 
The ford Ka is not a bad little car. The engine is taken from the old Fiesta. They are reliable enough. the most common fault is the dreaded idle valve which controls the cars engine idle speed. these tend to play up on a lot of Fords. As for the Peugeot 206, they can have complete ECU failure while driving along. Well it is a French car?
The Nissan Micra is in my opinion the best of the bunch. Its not the best looking but definitely the best engineered, and most reliable.
