my car started blowing white smoke out the exsaust pipe so i pulled over let my dad take a look at it now its back in my drive way we thought it was the head gasket but we looked closer and when car was running my dads hand hit the fan and it stopped then slowly started again now we think it was the fan clutch but my dad is not very familar with bmw car make. tell me what you think is wrong or if you know if the fan is soposed to stop like that, thank you
