Car help! American cars vs not?

I am thinking of buying a new car. I really like the BMW M3 and the Mercedes C 63 AMG. I guess I like sports cars ;)

But, I am thinking the maintenance on these might be a bit much. And I heard the Maintenance on American cars is much cheaper.

So I need advice on this.

What are some nice american cars that wont end up costing me a fortune?

all american muscle sucks but if you have to get a mustang or a ford in general. Maybe you should try something besides german or american engineering like acura or lexus if you want a reasonable luxury sports car.
 
BMW and Mercedes are not the only foreign cars lol. You can get Nissans Acura Honda, Toyota, Mazda the list goes on, Toyota ,Nissan, Honda are the best brands that i have worked on as a mechanic, GM's after about 65-70,000 miles they start having Big problems fords can go to the high 100.000 before major problems occure but look into those other brands
