Sooo, i was in the parking lot and started my car and when i went to change gear to reverse to back out, the gear shaft would not let me. So i kept trying, putting my foot on the break, and trying to move it to reverse but it stayed locked in park as if my foot was not on the break. So i turned off the car, started it again, and again it stayed locked. After a few turn offs and turn ons and trying to get it to let me put it in reverse, i was just the like the hell with it, and took two hands and forced it into the gear i want. So now its broken and moves freely into whatever gear i want and does not lock anymore. When i turn off my car, it makes a weird clicking noise ( which probably is because since the gear shaft doesn't lock anymore, the car doesn't think its in park.) But the gear can move freely, and does not lock in anything. Needless to say, i'm probably gonna be heading to the dealership.
