Car electrical problem 1995 ford taurus?

I drive a 1995 ford taurus no power is going to the headlights when I used the voltometer the fuses are all good I checked every single one in the car the man at the auto parts store said it is either "headlamp converter" or a break in the wiring but I cant find a Chilton's Repair manual to show me how to fix it. or find this part I need the serial number IF YOU HAVE THIS SERIAL NUMBER TO THIS PART OR CAN FIND IT PLEASE TELL ME SO i CAN BUY THE PART i NEED PLEASE. and anyone who can find me a map showing the electrical parts is a new friend thanks
 
I've been working on autos for 30 yrs and I've never heard of a headlight converter. I say the most likely problem is the headlight switch>
 
I'd check the ground wires going to the headlight bulbs if the bulb is a 3 pin setup the centre pin is usually the ground.On a vehicle that old I'd highly suspect the ground connections or wiring that is internally corroded or a faulty headlight switch.

To me a cheap fix would be going to a U pick auto wreckers and getting not only the headlight switch but any fuses or relays you can for that vehicle and try the headlight switch first off.If you trace the negative headlight bulb wires they probably run to the metal behind the bumper or in that area some place so I might just make up a whole new ground point and then run a wire from both of the headlight socket wires using o-ring wire connectors to connect them to the new ground.Just be sure you use auto wire and the proper gage of wire too.

A great tool right now to invest into would be a positive and negative led test probe they run about 60 bucks or so but are well worth the investment.
