I have a problem with a sub and amp install, its pretty much doing my head in ! The equipment is as follows Vibe Slick A7 amp capable of stable 1 & 2 Ohm operation(according to manufacturers manual). 2x15" Fli Subs wired in parallel and tested on a multimeter to have a resistance of 2 Ohms. All is good when the volume is turned up and down, until randomly the amp protect light will illuminate and no more sound until remote on/off is cycled. There is a 2.0 Farad power cap beside the amp with aprx 11inch's of wire connecting the cap in Parallel. I have noticed you can get the fault to occur more often by using windscreen heater flashing full beam a few times which i'm assuming would indicate either a voltage spike or not enough current coming from battery. Annoyingly this fault has destroyed my previous amp which was running fine for just over 12 months. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
