so i'm new to this but my questions are this
im going to put in 4 JL speakers that will draw a total 240 watts (60 each) and the head unit im putting in claims it has an output of 50 x4. but im pretty sure that output is just the max, i bet its rms is probably closer to 22 x4. Do i need an amp to power the JL's for them to sound good? ... Read more
also i was planning on getting a 500 rms amp to put in back to power a 12" sub. if i got like 1000 rms amp could i wire the JL's to it and use the excess power that's not going to the sub to power the speakers?
