well the measurments really depend on the box and what kind of subs you get... high profile speakers will take up more room. but you can always get a custom box to fit in you truck... the brand is really all about how loud you want them and how long you want them to last. but i like rockford fosegates. they last long and have a great sound, kicker and memphis audio are also good in the same way. you can also go with a bazooka sub which is a round cylinder speaker box and the brand of your choice sub. my cousin has a bazooka in his truck and it fits behind the seat and there is hardly any room back there at all... the price will very depending on the brand you choose but most good 12 inch subs run from 200- 400... im not sure about amps, im still lookin for a good one myself... i hope this has been helpfull

I'm looking to get an audio system in my truck and I have an few questions, so if you know and could you please help me out?

1. What is a good measure of how much room 2, 12inch subs would take up compared to 2, 10inch subs? Space is an issue as I am tall and my seat is a bench seat, and it is pushed all the way against the wall, but there is a triangular shaped gap that friends say they could fit in...
2. What brands of speakers should I shop for, including all accessories that would be needed such as amps?
3. How much should I expect to put out for these items?

Thanks for anyhelp that you can give.
