Car audio suggestions.?

I would suggest some Diamond Audio component speakers. If u really want them to sound good i would power them with an amplifier. As far as a subwoofer goes, one good brand you could try is Image Dynamics. But you could also try a ported box with your sub. I know when i had a ported box it made my sub sound a lot better.
 
I listen to a lot of death metal and am looking to thicken up my sound. I tried a 10" jl audio sub woofer in a sealed box, but it was too boomy and muddy. So I'm out on sub woofers. I bought some alpine coaxial speakers which are great for detailed highs, but buzz too much when you try to apply even a little bass. Would component speakers give me a thicker, tighter and heavier sound? Any brand suggestions? Thanks.
