Car audio. Subs and Reciever?

I need a good receiver. i usually only listen to my IPod when i drive. i need a new head unit i want one with a direct control to the iPod where you control the music with the Ipod not receiver. also can you give me some good sub and amp suggestions.
 
sony makes good head units but not really that good of amps and subs. pioneer is pretty much good for head units and speakers, but when it comes to subs and amp, id recommend the big 3 (mtx, jl, or kicker)
 
Nicole, go learn about what your talking about, Sony is crap for car audio. Pioneer speakers, subs (all but one line which really good) and amps are decent. Pioneer stereos are great. Anything from Sony for car audio is just plain pathetic.

For the best sound from your iPod through your car stereo look into Alpine. Sorry to be the one to inform you this but just about every stereo on the market that plays iPod's will control the iPod though the stereo. Good amps, kicker amps, Rockford Fosgate amps, Memphis Audio, Elemental Designs Audio, US Amps, just to name a few.
