I have bought an car amp with speaker level inputs. It came with an adapter. I got a wiring kit that has 16 gauge speaker wire. I have aftermarket speakers that are hooked by an adapter. I was wondering how do I install it using speaker level inputs. The 16 gauge looks a lot thicker than the factory speaker wire, but looks about the same as the adapter wire. Which one should I solder it to? Can I solder lower gauge wire to higher gauge wire (Im guessing not, but is there an adapter for this?) Do I run the speaker wire in the opposite side of the Power/Turn-On wire? Can I run the 16 gauge wire to the amp's speaker outputs? What are the speaker outputs for?
