Alright I've had way too many problems with my past 2 amps (this one which i just recently purchased and hooked up just yesterday...won't go into detail)
Pretty much the amp that I got I was retarded and didn't look at the RMS...I'm really not all that sure how to figure out...it has 3 25 Amp fuses...and it says its 2600 Watt Peak power....anyway it likes to cut out all the time...a technician told me to check the stable load on the wires in the subbox...and I re did all of them...put em how they are supposed to be...so everything is working except the amp is still being a pain in my ass. It didn't make it any better that it didn't come with a fan. lol what amp doesn't come with a fan?
Anyway I'm not sure how many W RMS my subs can handle and I don't know how to figure it out...maybe somebody has the same SUBS as me and could tell me.
I'm running 2 12" Pioneer Premier Competetion Pro Series that are 2,000 Watts a peice. (Guessing maybe 500 Watts RMS?) I'm not too sure...the only thing I do know is that they are serious and thunder ridiculous.
Anyway I'm sick of wasting money here and there on this system so I need and idea on what amp I need to get to power these babies without having the protect mode/cut out thing going on.
Also The technician also told me that because it's a 2 channel amp then that is the problem and I need to get a mono block amp or just wire my subs 4 ohm...I think he was full of it because my manual for the amp says that it can handle 2 OHM...so I'm not sure.
900W RMS amplifier you think will be good? Maybe 1,000 W RMS Amplifier?
Unless you have any ideas or advice to where I can fix my problem now and I don't have to spend any money that would be awesome too!!
