Car audio receiver DIY question?

I want to buy a cd receiver for my car from crutchfield and hook it up myself and I plan to solder the ends of the stereo to the wiring harness and wrap it with heat shrink tubing.
What is the usual size (diameter) of heat shrink tubing I need to buy. Please advise. Thanks
