car audio (radio/subs) help?

my car's a '97 jeep grand cherokee laredo
(in case that matters)
so i'm gonna be putting in a new radio in my car, hopefully in a few weeks, and i wanted to add some subs in as well since i'll already be messing with it. and i wanted to know two things:
1) what do i need in order to add these subs?
2) and how do i put these subs in?
this is my first addition/mod to my car, so i'm kind of a beginner in this. so any help would be appreciated. thnx.
 
not sure how big the sub you are going to get but you will need 1 amplified (amp) to rock your sub, 2 RCA wire connect from your audio to the amp, and 2 wire to connect from amp to the sub. you might need another wire and switch just in case you want to turn the amp off and listen to the normal speaker in your car. hope this help
