car audio question???

im looking to put subs and an amp in my car, and i am wondering what i should try to aim towards getting to get the best sound. im thinking i want one or two 10in. woofers, but i want there to be ALOT of bass. does the size of the woofer actually matter or is it the wattage that determines the sound of your system? i guess what im asking is am i going for higher wattage? or a bigger sized woofer? or what?
 
bigger subs can hit lower frequencies. more watts and size sometimes matters i think. also how you build your box, for example, if you ported your box to 32 hz it would be louder than a sealed one
