Car audio question...?

I own two alpine type-x's that I have hooked up to a single mrp-m1000. Now I found a good deal on a Alpine PDX-1.1000, which has the same 2 ohm output as the mrp-m1000: 1000 watts rms. I would like to use this as second amp in order to get the amount of power needed for each subwoofer. So my setup would be:

1 Alpine pdx-1.1000 supplying 1000 watts to one subwoofer and
1 Alpine mrp-m1000 supplying 1000 watts to another.

Now I have no idea what the repercussions of pumping two type-x's with - though supplying the same power - two different amps. Will it affect how it sounds? Will I short something? Will one not pump better than the other? OR... will it make no difference at all?

Thank you for your input. The best answer will be provided to those with much experience in car audio, preferably those with a degree or certification of some sort.

Thank you!
