I am looking for a solution to my problem. I have to much music. I have more than 300 cds in my truck, I need to do something else. I want to hook something up to the current stereo or a new stereo preferably not though. I want something I can hook up a hard drive with about 500gb on to store and play music. I would like something with voice activation or a touch screen or both. what are my options? smaller the better. running out of room with cb, brake controller, scanner. So what can I do? it is a new Dodge Ram 1500 if that helps

You can modify abit... buy one of those CD players that take in a USB connection, buy a PC external harddrive, connect the USB to the cd player and to power the harddrive I guess it'd require 12v since pc's main components are pushed by 12v and a car battery is 12v/13.4... the way to do this would probably be hooking the power to the car cigerette lighter..

before you do this find out if the ciggerete lighter is 13.4v when your car is started up, use a volt metre cos harddrive will die 12v+
