Yesterday the light on my bass knob kept flickering (when the light turned off the bass turned off) I was thinking this either means there isn't sufficient power going to the amp or there is something wrong with the amp. Today I was listening to music and bumping and I smelled smoke, i turned the bass down and opened the back seat and there was smoke coming out of the trunk...is there something wrong with the power supply, the amp, or is the saw dust from the box maybe somehow clogging the fans or vents on the amp? Any ideas? The gain set on the amp is only 3/4 up so i know i'm not overworking anything.

You probably shorted something out. take it to an car audio specialty shop and have them look at it. it'll cost you , but either way if something is messed up, you'll still have to pay for it.
