Car audio confused! Bass not bumpin!?

ok so i had a 2000 watt amp xplore rockwood or something brand and 2 12" subwoofers in a box brand performance teknique and it doesnt pound. i had to buy this 12 guage wire for it and all but whatever, i cant feel the bass from the outside, im so disapointed!!! i dont know what the problem could be or what to do. somebody help me please and my car is a honda accord '93...... i know it has to pound cuz a friend of mine and my mom have half of what i got and their stuff you can hear from far :(
 
Its not all about what you have. The type of car you have plays a big role on how loud a system can be. If your friend and your mom have either a van, SUV, truck, or a hatchback, then it's most likely that you will be able to hear the Bass easily outside of the vehicle.

If they are all driving cars as well, then it turns out that your subwoofers and amp are not all that great.

Your best bet would be to sell everything, and start all over with tips and advice from people who know what their doing to get you the sound you really want.
