I have a Dual DEH665. It is an AM/FM/CD/MP3/WMA Reciever with a detachable face. I functions in all modes, players CD's and works in auxillary mode to play MP3's, FM/AM, etc. The problem is that the backlight suddenly stopped working. I have been very satisfied with the player. I like the auxillary mode because I have my Ipod hardwired into the deck so I have the option of listening to music in several different ways. During the daytime you can see to change the station and tracks, etc., however once it gets dark out at night time it becomes virtually impossible to navigate between stations because the backlight just stopped working. Does anyone know why that might be? Is it a blown fuse? Do I need to replace the faceplate or the entire unit? I would really like to bypass taking it into an audio store if necesary if it is something that I could do myself. I do have the manual so if someone were to be able to tell me what the problem is I would be able to figure out how to fix it. Thanks so much.
