if i were you i would get an alpine deck, i had what was supposed to be a good kenwood deck but at high db it skipped, I also noticed a lot of people at car comps have pioneer decks

alpine's good, so is bose. but if budget is a restraint, pioneer's good, too.

There are (3) brands that I feel will satisfy all of your needs:

1) Pioneer - Plenty to choose from, many with iPod playback features, MP3 compatible, and rather nice displays

2) Alpine - Though some of their CD players are no better than Audiovox, their higher level models will still satisfy even the most discriminating audiophile. The upper end models will also have many of the features you are looking for.

3) Panasonic - I know, Panasonic? But yes - Panasonic! Panasonic has some great CD players with many of the same features of Pioneer and Alpine but can be purchased for far less. I have not only installed but also used Panasonic head units in the past and they have all worked magnificently.

Alpine all the way. I have never had a problem with them and they look great. Check out www.Crutchfield.com for some good ones.

Alpine has a great line of decks with a sleek look to them and a whole load of optional addons...
