car audio 6x9s in rear?

i currently have a sub and amp for my car and am now upgrading the speakers i was thinking of putting some 6.5" splits in the front with the tweeters on the a-pillar.Now i also want some rear speakers as it is a medium sized car but have heard bad things about 6x9s that they upset the sound with too much bass and i want the best possible sound for all occupants should i go 4 a 6x9 coxial and if so how many way.Or should i get another pair of 6.5" coxials or splits for the back.

if so should i go for some 4" speakers in the front

and (sorry for all the questions) if i did get splits for the rear where would i mount the tweeters for the back

thanx heaps for your help

LOL no, thats silly what you heard about 6x9's. Many cars have them! They arent THAT much bigger than 6.5 speakers.

Anyways, when you have a sub, you should be cutting out the low bass to your interiors anyways, either by using the high pass filter on your head unit/amp, or using bass blockers. Small interior speakers just werent meant to play loud, low bass, so to prevent damaging them, filter out the bass the sub is taking care of.
