Car alarm acting weird! I cleaned my battery terminals because sometimes my car

does not turn over.? My car alarm has been acting weird for a couple of months, when you [press the remote to set it on it won't do anything and if you keep pressing it the alarm ends up going off. Okay so when i cleaned my terminals hoping my car would turn over perfect all the time as i did it for that purpose i noticed that the alarm is working on and off. That's what happened till i started the car. It went to it's old condition again. I've also done this method times and was exact same results
