Captivity .....

any good

Yes it is .......worth a look ;)

although with Kim Bauer in peril all the way through kept wondering when Jack was gonna smash his way in an kill em all an save her ..lol

I have seen it and would say its worth a watch if you're into the 'torture porn' genre.

Its a bit sloppy and all over the place at points but the theres a few twists to keep you guessing. I think the critics will slate this unfairly, it wasn't great or original but what do you expect? There has been far worse 'horror' films like this released recently

I went this morning to see this. There were certain scenes in this movie which remind me abit of the film "Saw".Except this is a poor version of "Saw".

Like with all these movies there is a twist & in this movie when the twist was revealed it didn't exactly blow me away.Probably because early on in the movie i guessed what the twist would be & it turned out to be correct.Where with "Saw" i didn't see the twist coming.

This could have been a better movie than it was.

Just back from seeing it and I thought it was pretty good - I know what you mean about the Saw rip off bits hehe.... but kept be gripped until end... never thought it would go that way with 'Gary' ;)

It doesn't really spoil it as i never mentioned exactly what happens in the movie.Plus the trailer for this movie gives it a "Saw" feeling.

Saw this last night - I thought it was good and similar to Saw, although a couple of parts in this film made me gag!!!

Good unusual twist though

i watched this and walked out it was vile (and i liked saw, hostel etc). it's probably the most misogynistic thing ive ever seen, i cant beleive roland joffe has been reduced to directing this cr*p

I saw this tonight. It's very much riding the wave of Saw, Hostel etc, and without any real understanding of what works. The first half is pretty boring and implausible, I saw the twist coming a mile off and the ending was a bit incoherent. There are one or two ideas but it really needed a lot more work on the script. I was expecting/hoping for a lot more psychological depth.

That said, Hostel wasn't very good either. I suspect the kind of people who go to these films will go to see for themselves regardless of reviews.

I saw this last night. It was alright. I like to see something a bit different in all of these types of films nowadays, didn't get it, it was as formulaic as most of the other horror porn films around these days. Elisha Cuthbert is very pleasing on the eye though.

I thought it was very average and not as gory as I thought i was going to be but then again I was disappointed by Hostel!
I read that there was a twist before I saw it and I guessed it by just seeing the trailer before I watched the film. The twist is very obvious and im amazed that other people didnt guess it!

As has been said before, this film is a poor mans Saw. The 'twist' was the first thing I thought about. There is very little suspense at all. Overall one of the worst movies I've seen for a while.

Saw is the only decent film of this kind I've seen for a while. Now everything that rips it just tries to go more extreme for the sake of it (including the Saw sequels, even though I would say they are better than Captivity).

Ive seen it and i never found it ' intense ' or ' disturbing ' .We never know much about whos doing these things........or their reason for it.WHY DO THEY DO IT???? Some of the things done also arent that gory or frightening, you never really feel as if the main character is in any danger.
Also this might just be me but when i go to a cinema i expect an experience..........was there even a surround mix of the soundtrack? It was barely loud.Dialogue was the only thing coming through clear.Music should be there to help build the suspense in a movie like this.
