OK, so I get it:
*Obama's speeches are sometimes vague, but his policy proposals are actually pretty specific. So do your homework and no more questions about how unspecific he is.
*Yes he's only been in the Senate for one term. But that was a pretty good term and this still doesn't mean his policy ideas are bad. So, lets discuss those.
*Yeah, his preacher has said foolish things. Obama has denounced those and taken a decidedly different tone and approach. So, rather than doing the whole 'guilt by association' thing, let's actually talk about Obama's policies.
In this spirit, let's talk about one of his policies in particular:
He wants to make the Chief of the National Guard a member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. I have a problem with this policy idea, anyone want to discuss it or stick to the tired old red herrings?
I'm not wishing anything away. I just want to talk about actual policies for a little bit. We can talk about all the dirty money all you want later. But lets at leas decide whose policies are best first...then move onto corruption. It seems we do it backwards.
My problem, Jean-Jacque (no wait just Rousseau), is that the National Guard should be on domestic duty. It seems that making them a problem of the Joint Chiefs results in them continuing their international involvement. I'd prefer a policy that said the National Guard will stay home and not be a part of the international engagement decision-making process. But thanks.
Making them a part of the JCofS means their international deployment will continue. That's something I don't want.
