Can't walk after leg injury

My car fell-of a jack (while I was working on breaks) and landed with break rotor on my inner thigh, just above my knee. I was able to free myself in 5 minutes, but my leg suffered some internal trauma. Next day black and blue spot developed about 6 inches in diameter on injured area. It seems to be healing slowly, but now 12 days later I still can

alot depends upon just what was actually injured during that drop of the mechanism of injury onto your leg. the one thing that i would very highly recommend to you just considering what occured there and your symptoms right now,is an ultrasound with a doppler to check and see if all of your blood vessels are okay and that there was not any real damage to any of them. its very quick and simple but it can tell alot about how the blood flow actually is within that leg right now. it never hurts to check. you just need to be certain that the blood flow is okay after something that heavy fell on it. if this persists for more than a few weeks,i would also ask your doc for at least a CT to be done,an MRI would be even better, but a CT would help see the harder structures in the very best way. there are just many different ways this could have been injured. but you DO really need to check on that blood flow. please keep us posted, FB

Thank for your reply! I made appointment with vascular surgeon for the next Tue to check it out. I talked on the phone with nurse from his office and she told me that my symptoms indicate Claudication. Could it be due to the remaining internal swelling of the tissue, which keeping blood vessels squeezed and blocking blood flow? In this case once swelling gone the blood should flow freely again? Is this typical scenario for this type of trauma?
