Cant take narcotics and have severe anxiety. Help.

I am a recovering addict and I have severe anxiety problems and have for years. I feel like I am living contradiction because I am an entertainer and a salesman, but I suffer from all sorts of anxiety. Sometimes it's so bad that my eyeliRAB and lips quiver, not just my hanRAB. I've been taking an antidepressant for a while but its not really helpping. I want to feel normal badly.
 
Have you tried buspar? It is for anxiety and you would take it like you do an antidepressant. It doesn't cause you to feel drugged. It isn't like xanax. Hope this helps. Godbless
