i got the same prob;em .... but no more ... u must be doing it wrongly.... try to send the files throuh pc suit it will definitely work

What service do you guys have? If it's Tmobile you can email any picture to yourself by sending it to ur phones addresss

Midi ring tones are a lil more tricky, if u want to know though, ask.
 
Sending files does not always work witht the windows built in infrared browser thingy... but from my experience... it has always worked with nokia pc suite... (if you ain't got it... go to http://www.nokia.com/ where you can download it for free... though it is like 40-50MB!)
 
You can't use the standard windows IR utility, download the Nokia PC Suite. That will work for sure. Although you might need to change the settings of your IR device.
