Can't seem to upgrade

Hi There. First of all - Hello to all. I am a new member of this forum. I recently purchased a bb from TMO and have the 8700g. OS 4.1.0.346. I am using the desktop manager 4.2.2.14. I have loaded several apps on the unit and all work great. I would like to upgrade to the new tmo release 4.2.1.91 and downloaded it and installed it on my PC. When I connect my bb and try have the app loader load the os it does not see it. I get a list of all my apps and tells me there is no new apps to load. What am I missing. Also, is it easy to upgrade the new OS?

you might have not actually installed it on your pc. Double click the installer icon on your desktop and see if that initiates the installation. After that initiate the DM and connect your phone and it should prompt you and ask if you wish to upgrade to the loaded os on your pc
 
Thank you all for the prompt replys. I have installed the os software. I will uninstall it and try to install again. Question? Do I open the DM before I attach the bb or after? I have been attaching the bb before opening DM. I will try that also.
