*Both are fictional
#1- This book was set in the 1800s I believe, with this girl receiving a crown from her aunt for her birthday. When she walks outside the morning of her birthday she finds that she is the only person alive out of her family that was in her house (I think). Long story short she has to find this black crown that goes with the silver crown and during her adventure she's hiding in the woods from a bad guy and he steps on her ankle, but he thinks its a root or something. The girl is able to get away to this boy's house where he and his mother help her on her journey.
*Sorry, that's all I remember but I know it was around 300 pages long and that I really liked it. (Haven't read it in YEARS!) : D I don't know if it was teen, junior fiction, etc.*
#2- This book is about twin brother and sister who are seniors in high school and they live in Florida and he has leukemia and they go to their Kindergarten "reunion" where they made this time capsule that is being opened. Long story short they go to Disneyland/world and the sister finds out that her brother's cancer is back. At the end of the book the brother dies.
