I read it about two years ago and really enjoyed it. It was set in the South on summer when a group of convicts come into this girl's town to work on building something and she is attracted to one of them. At one point she gets a snake bite and he saves her since he's been sleeping on the couch. Her mom may or may not have been sleeping with the preacher? Help!
