It's not a cartoon, it's real image.
They were fighting robots, as tall as a person. They were good robots vs evil robots.
The main villain moved on 2 triangle tracks (he looked like Johnny 5, only meaner and buffed up) . The robots had laser guns (i think).
All robots were metallic and dark.
It's not Star Wars and it's not Transformers.
I am very positive about the description of the leader of the bad robots! (he looked like Johnny 5, only meaner and buffed up)

And i think it's american.
