The book was about a soldier's near death experience, he was scheduled to go home, but got sick. The sickness only got worse and he had to stay. Then he woke up and found he could travel fast and far. I can't remember all the details, I know there are probably a few books like this, but he was jolted back to life when someone shoved a shot of adrenaline in his heart. He lived and wrote the book, I read it some years ago and would like to remember what it was called. If you have any ideas it would be great.
