Ok I have the following setup:
From a phone jack out of my wall I have an RJ10 cable plugged into a wireless modem router. However, that wireless router has the wireless mode disabled.
From the wireless router, I have a an RJ45 cable from the LAN 1 port into a wireless router (not modem router)
From here I have the wireless modem router.
So basically, I have a wireless modem router which is just acting as a modem. Connected to that I have a wireless router.
Anyway, I am unable to get Xbox Live to join a chat! It's very frustrating. I have enabled both the required UDP and TCP ports, uPnP is enabled and I can't figure out what else is wrong.
The router is a Thomson TG585 (the standard). The wireless router is a Belkin.
With just the Bebox in place, I could access Xbox Live fine! With the wireless router in place, I can access the internet fine too (it's what I'm using now). Just can't get it to join chat. As I say, uPnP is enabled, ports are open. Just can't figure out why
