If it still works on Speakerphone then it is impossible for the phone to think it has a headset plugged in. Otherwise that wouldn't work either. If you have tested and you can't hear OR speak, then i would try plugging the headset in while you are on a call in speakerphone and see if that produces any changes. If that still doesn't work, however unlikely, both the integrated ear-speaker and mic could be bad. Something that normally doesn't happen unless the phone has liquid damage, or has been dropped. If this is the case a simple call to your service provider can have a refurbished phone mailed to you assuming that the phone is less than a year old and still under the manufacturer's warranty. After this, to keep from being charged for the phone if it HAS been dropped or liquid damaged, take a standard T6 star head screwdriver and exchange parts with the refurbished phone. This will void your warranty from then on out but it might work. BE SURE TO TEST THE PHONE, before you mail off one or the other back to the serice provider, if it still isn't working then you may decide to keep the refurbished phone instead of your own.
