cant get smartmovie or divx player to work

on my n80 I have tried installed smartmovie and divx player. the help files say that i can just open the video and it will open in the program, but they keep opening in real player. in the program when i go to browse it just shows the demo videos.
 
if you have 'avi' files, you may want to try to 'rescan file system'. in the file browser, press left soft key for the menu to come up.

this may be the case for new files that haven't been recognized by 'smartmovie'.
 
The video quality with smartmovie is much better. With the converter you can chose what type of phone you are on (Pixels in the screen) and you can chose what kbps rate you want it to conver at(mine is set at 768 & 640 sometimes). Smartmovie works much better IMO.
 
yeah. to me they are almost the same, but i like smartmovie a little better. especially since divx player has that stupid start up noise.

i do not have the smartmovie converter, just the player, but i use avs video converter and am able to pick what ever pixel size i need
