this is what i did to get one of my ringtones. I right clicked the mp3 file in the music area in itunes and clicked get info. I made the start and stop time about 15 seconds. Then I right clicked the file and clicked get aac version. then i right clicked the new song and clicked show in windows explorer and renamed the extention to be m4r. then i dragged it to ringtones and it synced without a problem. before that i deleted the new file in the music area and clicked the original song and unchecked the start and stop time. Today i tried to make the ringtone longer (30 seconds) and it didn't sync at all and now ive lost that rintone. I have tried using the same steps and made the ringtone 15 seconds again but it just wont sync so what am i doing wrong?
also i would rather not have to download ringtone creating software if it can be avoided
